    Owners:

Dr. Brian and Kathy Crook fulfilled their lifelong dream of practice ownership with the purchase of Hilltop Pet Clinic in February 2015, and relocated from Colorado Springs to Pueblo West. Hilltop has allowed Brian and Kathy to bring their love for people and pets to Hilltop’s wonderful clientele and the surrounding communities.

Dr. Crook is a Colorado native, and grew up in the Denver area. Brian knew he wanted to become a veterinarian at the tender age of six when he visited a local clinic and fell in love with all aspects of the profession!

Kathy Crook spent her early childhood in Wisconsin where she grew up as a “country girl” loving the outdoors and animals of all shapes and sizes! In the early ‘70’s her family moved to Colorado Springs where she fell in love with the mountains and the Colorado lifestyle.

Brian and Kathy met in undergraduate school at Colorado State University have been able to share their passion for people and pets ever since. The couple has had a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, hamsters, goats, and horses! Currently, they currently have Tuxaroo (Tux), a rescue border collie mix that loves people and can usually be found at the clinic.

Dr. Crook received his veterinary degree from Colorado State University (CSU) in 1986.  He practiced in two very progressive clinics in the Denver area as well as performing emergency work. In addition, Dr. Crook has extensive experience working in the healthcare industry where he was able to broaden his knowledge in medicine, business and product development. Dr. Crook has been able to bring this knowledge and experience to Hilltop by bringing in cutting edge products and services to keep on top of changes in the industry, while helping to keep prices competitive.

Kathy received her business management degree from CSU and has been involved in several companies where she was able to broaden her strengths in customer service, team development and business.  Prior to the purchase of Hilltop Pet Clinic, she served as a veterinary practice manager for a progressive clinic in Colorado Springs, and as an executive vice president of a pharmaceutical manufacturing company.

Brian and Kathy implemented Hilltop’s mission in “Improving Lives One Pet at a Time” shortly after purchasing the clinic. It is important to both owners to form a strong relationship with Hilltop’s clients by taking the time to get to know the clients and their pets and to help them feel valued and welcomed in the Hilltop family. In addition, Dr. Crook and Kathy know that there are multiple choices available for taking care of our furry family members and highly value the trust the clients have placed in the doctors and team at Hilltop!

We value that trust and will work hard to make a difference in the lives of our clients, staff and community. We want each and every person that walks through our doors to know we care and we are excited to have them as part of the Hilltop family. We look forward to meeting and serving you and establishing lifelong relationships with the people and families we serve!
